Description.
Over time, large amounts of unnecessary data such as application remnants, registry entries, and temporary files can accumulate, causing various system problems and performance degradation.

Solution.
This article will assist you with removing very old, unsupported version of McAfee software.

Before running any of the following tools:
Ensure that you have backed up any and all critical data.
Ensure that you have logged in as Administrator or have administrative rights.

Check 'Add or Remove Programs' for any McAfee applications and if found, remove them
	1. From the Control Panel, open Add or Remove Programs and uninstall all McAfee applications.
	2. Run the newest version of MCPR (MCPR.exe).
	3. Restart your computer.

NOTE: The latest version of MCPR makes the following tools unnecessary. If you feel that you have to run them anyway, run each of the following 2006 removal tools one at a time. After the last removal tool has finished, restart your computer.
	MAS Removal Tool (mascleanuptool.exe)
	MPFP Removal Tool (mpfcleanuptool.exe)
	MPS Removal Tool (mpscleanuptool.exe)
	MSK Removal Tool (mskcleanuptool.exe)
	VS Removal Tool (vscleanuptool.exe)

Remove any remaining McAfee files or folders.
Navigate to and remove the McAfee and McAfee.com folders found in C:\Program Files
Navigate to and remove the McAfee folder found in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\McAfee
